Sungei Wang

It is no doubt that Bukit Bintang is one of the most popular places in Kuala Lumpur. This place is not really far from Pudu Raya Bus Terminal and I myself have been there by walking along Jalan Raja chulan.

I thought Bukit Bintang was quite near when I used that mode of ‘transportation’. But luckily I arrived there around 15 to 20 minutes of walking and if you are not ready to walk there you’d better get a taxi.

The alternative way you can go there if you’re not using a taxi or bus is by using the Monorail system. you still can go Sungei Wang Via Monorail : Stop at Bukit Bintang Station ; Via LRT: Stop at Hang Tuah Station.

Sungei Wang Plaza
SWP Box No. 009,
Jalan Bukit Bintang,
55100 Kuala Lumpur.

Literally the word Sungei Wang means ‘River Money’ and I don’t know whether this river name is existed or not somewhere around the globe. The word ’sungei’ probably the old spelling of ’sungai’ used in standard national language of Malaysia today. This shopping complex was open in 1977. Inside the building there is no significant different with other shopping centres and it seems here you can drink and chit chat and of course for shopping.
